The Vice President, People (VP) will provide executive-level leadership and strategic guidance for ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers, as part of The Aspen Group (TAG) family of brands. They will be responsible for the creation and execution of the People Strategy, overseeing the enterprise talent and engagement strategies in support of ClearChoice’s priorities; and managing the overall ClearChoice People function. As an emerging brand, this role will also serve as a culture and change champion to further integrate ClearChoice into the overall TAG organization.
Key Responsibilities
HR Business Partner
This role serves as a key partner to C-suite leaders and operators, their respective teams, and the People leadership team. They function as a true business partner, consulting and working closely with key stakeholders to ensure talent capabilities drive and support business objectives. They are also responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices.
People Strategy + Execution
Leading the People Strategy for ClearChoice, they are accountable for supporting our vision of creating an environment where people can grow and thrive – enabling the talent strategy and overseeing culture and recognition programs. The individual selected for this role will have oversight for establishing people practices that position ClearChoice as a career destination and employer of choice.
As part of the broader TAG People Team, the VP is responsible for collaborating with the TAG People Center of Excellence on learning and development, talent management, recruiting, and total rewards to ensure that all People processes and programs are seamlessly executed and delivered with the appropriate business lens.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead the change process as the company meets the challenges of hyper-growth and the need to scale.
- Serve as a partner to the employee relations leaders and corporate legal teams to provide counsel on complex employee relations issues when necessary.
- Partner with COE’s to solve business problems and execute corporate-wide talent initiatives.
- Provide HR leadership and counsel to leadership on matters involving people and change management and culture.
- Design short and long-term talent strategies in areas such as strategic workforce planning, leader effectiveness, leadership capabilities, talent development, succession planning, and diversity and inclusion plans that support the achievement of business goals.
- Collaborate with HR COEs to identify, develop and implement effective HR practices.
- Understand and appreciate the business structure of ClearChoice and its role as a support service provider to doctors and their practices.
- Provide interpretation of company policies and procedures in relation to all HR disciplines; guide leaders in the administration of HR plans to ensure seamless execution of all HR programs and processes across all ClearChoice teams.
- Collaborate with leaders to define the organization’s long-term goals and identify ways to support those goals through talent management.
- Ensure talent planning, HIPO, and succession planning processes are implemented and that we have a deep bench of talent to sustain growth across the country.
- Partner to build business capabilities in the areas of organizational design, change management, and organizational effectiveness.
- Partner with talent acquisition leaders to implement recruitment plans that address short- and long-term staffing requirements.
- Use data to measure success: learn, iterate, and improve; analyze trends and develop proactive actions to further support business objectives.
- Identify objectives and key results for the HR team and assess the HR organization’s success based on these metrics.
- Participate in cross-functional projects which address continuous improvement of operational processes.
- Understand the business and its challenges to help address the organization’s and people’s needs.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to demonstrate measurable results using analytics and metrics.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, influencing, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent influencing skills at all levels in the organization and flexibility to be proactive in a fast pace, ever-changing environment.
- Knowledge of lawful employment practices (Federal and State).
- Proven ability to effectively influence and communicate at all levels of the organization and manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
- Track record of serving as an independent partner to the business, challenging with respect to maintaining full discretion regarding sensitive information.
- Must display an entrepreneurial spirit and be comfortable with ambiguity.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring programs/processes that drive business results.
- Ability to travel frequently throughout the territory as needed.
- Experience providing consultation to senior leadership on strategic initiatives.
- Education Level: Bachelor’s degree required; Masters preferred.
- Experience in change management within a highly complex environment with multiple, geographically disbursed locations.
- Strong business acumen and ability to participate in strategic and operational business discussions with key leadership.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in Business/Human Resources with a minimum of 5+ years of management experience, ideally in a fast-paced, complex multi-unit field organization.
