Job Description

Vice President of Business Development

Long Beach, California or Remote, US


This New Joint Venture focuses on greenfield development of utility-scale solar & energy storage projects. The team is actively pursuing its target pipeline of over 5 GW across the United States and is looking to add a Vice President of Business Development to create business development strategies to grow the project pipeline and manage external relationships with key stakeholders for project acquisition opportunities.


As the Vice President of Business Development, you will be responsible for leading new market entry strategies and acquiring projects across the United States in various markets (i.e. MISO, SPP, NYISO, & PJM). You would put your renewable energy business development expertise to use in a startup environment, with the support of two global energy parent firms and a dedicated team of experienced developers. With over 2 GWs currently under development, the company is well-positioned to reach its goals and help you reach yours.


Requirements:

  • Willing to work in-office in Long Beach, California (preferred, not required)
  • Comfortable with nationwide travel
  • Strong knowledge of US Renewable Energy Market lingo
  • Extensive experience with Utility-Scale Solar, Battery Storage, or Wind Development projects
  • Experience working with project financial modelling
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study
  • Minimum of 12 Years of Experience in Business Development and M&A


Salary Budget: $250,000 plus up to 40% bonus. Compensation is flexible depending on candidate experience and qualifications.
