The Controller reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Finance, oversees accounting staff and provides financial information about company activities that will assist the leadership team in making economic company decisions. The candidate should be proactive and solution-oriented, offering depth of experience to the management team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounting system restructuring, simplification, and implementation of best practice
• Oversee the company’s FX fluctuations, evaluate and present hedging opportunities
• Lead continual improvement on the contract review processes and implementation of SOX controls
• Provide leadership and oversight over the company’s accounting infrastructure, processes, and policies to adhere to accounting standards for accurate reporting
• Develop, streamline, and automate manual processes of the current ERP (NetSuite) and any other finance stack integrations
• Generate consolidated US GAAP financial statements, and provide to external shareholders monthly or other stated cadence
• Lead the Company’s first financial audit with a Big 4 audit firm and build the IPO readiness
• Implement, maintain, and verify technical accounting policies for revenue recognition and ensure accounting procedures are documented and updated regularly.
• Oversee and direct treasury, cash management, payroll, audit, tax related activities
• Ad hoc finance projects, quantitative analyses, including external audit requests, expense reporting, review of merchant contracts and tax matters
• Partner with external advisors to stay up to date with the changing regulatory requirements
• M&A accounting and manage the valuation process
• Key role in BEN labs’ global expansion strategy by providing accounting guidance and intercompany and transfer pricing
• Has the vision and insight to recognize emerging trends and organizational changes and can set strategic direction for the finance department
• Implement the automated AP workflow and procurement policy to increase efficiency and capacity
• Partner with the FP&A team to analyze results and provide meaningful insight
• Lead, manage and mentor a strong accounting team that is an effective business partner to functional business areas

Qualifications

• Big 4 preferred
• 3+ years management experience
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
• Ability to multi-task efficiently from a remote work environment
• Advanced knowledge of NetSuite and Microsoft suite, especially excel
• Maintain close attention to detail and strict deadlines
• Experience with SOX compliance
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Sophisticated depth of communication, analytical, and time management skills
• 10+ years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment

In addition to the expected range listed, this role will be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and location.
