The Opportunity:
Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Human Resources is an integral member of the executive team and will lead all HR and Talent efforts to support the company’s growth.
You are a self-motivated individual with a high level of work integrity and ethical standards who combines a strong background in Human Resources with experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You have talent management experience and a collaborative work style. This role will utilize strong communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skills to ensure efficient and effective HR operations at Pryon.
In This Role, You Will:
- Expand our knowledge base and learning platform to serve as a continued and growing resource for our team
- Lead and manage all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and performance management
- Cultivate culture of accountability, trust, recognition and results among team members at all levels
- Lead our talent management strategy to ensure a successful talent pipeline and onboarding process
- Identify key performance indicators for people and talent management functions, and assess the success and market competitiveness based on these metrics
- Establish organizational performance management programs that align with company objectives. Coach management to set clear, meaningful goals and objectives and use metrics to measure performance
- Develop and build a strategic HR function that bolsters Pryon’s mission, vision, and values
- Lead our talent management strategy to ensure a successful talent pipeline and onboarding process
- Ensure compliance with employee-related laws and regulations
- Develop training, performance & assessment standards for all levels within our company
- Support continued leadership development efforts via direct coaching, programs & initiatives
- Oversee, develop, and execute talent acquisition and retention strategies including the creation of job descriptions, hiring processes, professional development, and diversity & inclusion strategies
- Develop the strategy for our HR technology stack, to ensure smooth delivery of HR services to our people
What You Need to Be Successful:
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience developing and implementing HR programs
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted partnerships with all levels of the company
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Self-starter who regularly takes initiative and can juggle multiple projects while simultaneously demonstrating creativity and judgment
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated success leading people organizations in fast-growing, high-performing startups
- This will be a Hybrid role and will require you to be onsite in Westport, CT 1-2 days per week
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to align HR initiatives with company goals
