Job Listing: Senior Vice President for Florida Region
Robinson & Co., a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as the Senior Vice President for the Florida Region. This pivotal role will oversee the recruitment, retention, and growth of Vice Presidents (VPs) and bankers in Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, the Virginias, Tennessee, and Kentucky. As a key member of our executive team, the successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, possess deep industry knowledge, and excel in an autonomous working environment. Reporting to both the President of Capital Markets and the CEO, the Senior Vice President for the Florida Region will play a critical role in driving our continued success.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment, Retention, and Growth:
- Nurture relationships with existing VPs and bankers to ensure high retention rates.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract top-tier talent for VP and banker positions in the Florida Region.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to VPs and bankers to foster their professional growth and development.
- Identify and engage individuals with relevant experience and skill sets to join our banking team.
Team Management:
- Set clear goals and performance expectations for each team, providing regular feedback and coaching to drive success.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Monitor team performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes to achieve results.
- Oversee and manage multiple teams of VPs and bankers across the Florida Region.
Reporting and Communication:
- Maintain regular communication with the President of Capital Markets and the CEO, providing updates on team performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
Revenue Generation:
- Collaborate with VPs to identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and client relationships to maximize revenue generation.
- Monitor financial performance, proactively identifying growth opportunities and implementing strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Earn commission based on performance equal to 7.5% of all revenue generated by bankers and VPs on their team, as well as a 50% commission on personal involvement in deals, acknowledging expertise and dedication (excluding team financing contributions).
Qualifications:
- Strategic mindset with a results-oriented approach.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, with a proven track record of success in leadership roles.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, driving high performance and fostering professional growth.
