As the Training Manager for Be Caring Ltd, you will have responsibility for the development and delivery of our training programmes for our Care and Support colleagues.
This role would suit an experienced training delivery practitioner who is creative and passionate about training development and delivery, and the role it has in enabling colleagues to deliver outstanding care.

- Deliver high-quality training programmes including induction, refreshers and ad-hoc programmes to meet individual needs.
- Achieve high levels of training compliance across the organisation maintaining and/or exceeding Be Caring and industry standards.
The post holder is accountable to the Director for Business Development and will work closely with the Senior Management Team, Service Managers and Trainers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Training Development
- Ensures our training delivery utilises mixed training delivery methods, inc. e-learning as appropriate, with a strong focus on classroom-based delivery where possible.
- Supporting our Trainers in co-designing training programmes and learning units and implementing these.
- Involving subject matter experts in the co-design of individual training programmes and learning units as appropriate.
- Development of our ‘core' induction and refresher training programme for care and support colleagues.
- Embedding a continuous improvement approach, seeking feedback and making changes as appropriate.
- Develop knowledge assessments, ensuring they are aligned to individual learning units and support the progression of learning/knowledge relevant to their role and experience.
- Work with Trainers to ensure all colleagues comply with the Care Certificate and CQC fundamental standards and other relevant legislation, industry standards and guidance.
- Utilise data and information to ensure:
- Assess and evaluate Trainers' knowledge against CQC fundamental standards, Care Certificate, organisation and other relevant competencies.
- Training is prioritised for colleagues who are due refresher training, maintaining high levels of compliance.
- Assessing training delivery, providing feedback and actionable areas of improvement for Individual Learning Plans - developing the training delivery skills of Trainers (and other colleagues as appropriate).
- Meet with Trainers individually and as a group in the development, delivery and review of our ‘core' training programme and learning units.
- Individual learner needs are met, and they are supported in their learning and development.
- Utilising data and information to identify and manage risks, reporting to our Senior Management Team monthly and as required for Service Managers.
- Supporting services and working with others to achieve readiness for CQC inspections and other internal and external inspections.
- Identify trends and work with Trainers and other colleagues e.g., Continuous Improvement Manager, to develop ad-hoc/bespoke training in response to those trends.
- Working with our central Compliance Officer to ensure evidence of training and learning is documented and saved for all colleagues, making up their individual digital learning files.
- Contribute to performance management, recording and reporting, and maintaining accurate records through our IT systems.
- Management and administration of third-party e-Learning platform.
- Management and administration of digital knowledge assessments using third-party platform
- Critical to the post is for you to be up to date with the latest legislation and legal requirements affecting the Company and our work, keeping up to date with the Health and Social Care training agenda.
- Professional body memberships would be an advantage as would Train the Trainer.
- To support the Senior Management Team and work flexibly.
- Attend company-wide meetings.
- To promote the principles of employee ownership as a unique selling point for Be Caring.
- To treat all staff equally, fairly and respectfully in all aspects of the role.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as dictated by the needs of the business or as identified by the Senior Management Team.
- To engage in your own personal development, learning and training.
- Must be ICT literate with good presentation skills (essential)
- Proven track record of delivering engaging training to different audiences (essential)
- Experience in designing, developing, and delivering training programmes (essential)
- Experience in delivering training in the health or care sector (essential)
- Knowledge of CQC, HSE, and Skills for Care in relation to training (essential)
