Position Summary:
Serve as the primary social media contact for Virtual Ambassador Program (VAP) against Driving Under Influence (DUI) of Drug and Alcohol. Serves as the primary VAP representative, supporting and empowering VAs and social media influences. Monitors the VAP twitter and Facebook accounts and posts relevant content and answers to other users' posts if relevant. Responsible for preparing material to be posted on the VAP social media accounts and support VAs with proper material. Responsible for monitoring other users' posts on DUI and VAP and react timely if appropriate. Provides training to VAs and interacts with them during the project. Serves as overall goodwill ambassador for the VAP against DUI. Expands VAP network on social media and explores other social media users who could help expanding VAP and invites them to share efforts to control DUI in California. Produces relevant content for twitter and Facebook out of the material provided by the PI Assists with the planning, execution and evaluation of campaigns against DUI and finds out obstacles and plans relevant strategies to overcome the barriers. Facilitates new and existing relationships with local and national media outlets Provides administrative support for the PI and helps preparing reports for the granting agent. Advises on the day-to-day and overall functions of the VAP twitter and Facebook accounts, coordinates the administrative, secretarial and clerical support for the project. Responsible for compliance with all OTS publication rules and regulations as well as UCI policies
