Job Description
Overview
The Training and Development Manager is responsible for the successful assimilation of new staff and the orientation of existing staff to ongoing changes with processes and technology.
This role delivers personalized onboarding for all new Client Policy Managers (CPM) and Client Service Associates (CSA) and prepares lesson plans that present organized, clear, and concise information supporting the learning objective. Additionally, the role is responsible for ongoing training for members of the Clinical Delivery team and creation and maintenance of educational documentation associated with the department’s policies, procedures, and processes.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Coding Validation team leaders in delivering training on the Client Inquiry application and the applicable processes. Provide training support on all other client service processes.
  • Assist with projects as needed with the ability to drive multiple projects/tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individual SMEs or team to achieve results
  • Write and maintain instructional materials such as user manuals, training materials, process guides, policies and procedures, job aids, training slide decks, and operating instructions.
  • Use technology/software to deliver materials in a format accessible to users including written documents, online resources, presentations, etc.
  • Coordinate with staff and managers to customize and modify training plans and coordinate training session logistics.
  • Establish ongoing training plan for development of existing staff and recent new hires. Solicit input from the team on topics for each continuous improvement session, both process and application based.
  • Professional with ability to properly handle confidential information
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
  • Attend project meetings and provide input as needed as a stakeholder responsible for documentation.
  • Desire to continually improve the Quality & Training program with the fluidity that it deserves
  • Work in conjunction with the Director of Training and Development to develop, implement and deliver onboarding training plans, course curriculum, and training materials for all new CPMs and CSAs.
  • Presents information and ideas in a thoughtful and compelling manner with individual SMEs or team to achieve results
  • Maintain the secure document repository that adheres to Information Governance standards. Maintain records and files of work and revisions and post finished documentation on SharePoint pages.
Qualifications
  • Experience in creating training and process documentation and presentation materials
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical colleagues
  • Self-motivated, innovative, and ability to take ownership in concert with his/her manager with little guidance.
  • Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Strong skills in MS Office including Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, Teams
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers and management
  • Must have flexibility and willingness to participate in the work processes of an international organization, including conference calls, scheduled to accommodate global time zones.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform responsibilities independently and with accuracy
  • Strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to work independently and balance daily operations and projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in health care; preferably as a trainer or similar role
  • Understanding of CPT-4, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS coding, medical terminology, and medical claims life cycle is preferred
Base compensation ranges from $84,500 to $98,000. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
