Summary About the Position: This position is located at Ft. Novosel, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation "Center of Excellence". Fort Novosel is located in the "Wiregrass" area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Recreation activities are abundant in the immediate and surrounding areas for family and fun. Responsibilities Serve as Training Specialist for System and Non-System Training Aids, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) for USAACE with responsibility for assisting in the formulation and implementation of USAACE objectives, plans, programs and procedures. Conduct periodic comprehensive reviews and evaluation of programmed goals and objectives. Adjust goals, objectives or targets to reflect changing command priorities, customer demand and available resources. Ensure training enabler facilities meet all physical and technical requirements needed to ensure successful execution of all training requirements. Provide advice to managers on TADSS programs, to ensure that training support requirements are identified prioritized and resourced to meet student training proficiency requirements and throughput. Specialized Experience: Your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience that demonstrates 1) Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices and evaluation of training results 2) Assisting in planning new Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADDS) technologies into the overall installation training mission strategy 3) Coordinating with Subject Matter Experts in supporting mission requirements by identifying Systems and Non-System TADSS requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--No substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Consultation, Coaching and Collaboration Learning and Program Evaluation Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations Training and Education Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education There is not an educational requirement for this position.
