Job Description

Operations Training Specialist


Position Summary:

We are seeking an Operations Training Specialist. The right candidate will be responsible to develop, deliver, and lead skills training for new hires and continuing education of existing staff.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct/support new hire orientation training
  • Support cross training targets/initiatives working closely with operations management to coordinate upcoming training to support lab operations
  • Provide trainee evaluations throughout the training program based on operator, trainer, and staff evaluations
  • Establish processes and tools to maintain current employee training records, skills matrices, and training plans, with a focus on electronic/digital management
  • Collaborate with engineers and management to identify training needs, map out development plans for teams and individuals
  • Resolve current and future employee training needs, assess, and improve training materials, and directly lead training sessions with employees on site
  • Responsible for leading, crafting, developing, coordinating, conducting, and maintaining records for all training programs
  • Develop training for all the departments within the facility
  • Provide new hires with study materials and coordinate periodic training surveys
  • Support continuous improvement activities to implement standard methodologies and training


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4+ years’ experience as a production supervisor, trainer٫ facilitator or similar role


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Highly effective interpersonal skills and decision-making abilities
  • Candidate must be well organized and capable of leading numerous challenging priorities
  • Ability to be proactive, follow up and follow through around regular activities along with future projects
  • Ability to exercise influence without authority
  • Effective and professional communication and organization skills
  • Ability to think strategically, envision future states and inspire change
  • Experience working in manufacturing environments
  • Be able to use good judgement and build rapport with diverse internal and external clientele
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

· Ability to travel 50% of the time


Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all training requirements are met within company policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive training curriculum for all TriSource employees
  • Assist in the development of new employee training materials as needed
  • Attend staff meetings to keep current on current on employee training needs
  • Work cooperatively with the Director of Training and the Director of Operations to ensure that all training requirements are met
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times while working with co-workers, customers, vendors, etc.
  • Ensure that all employees are fully trained in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures
  • Prepare training materials and curriculum for delivery to all employees


Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment; must be able to work independently with minimal supervision; must also be able to multitask; must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude; must be able to work under pressure; must be able to prioritize tasks according to importance; must be able to follow through on commitments according to time limits; must have excellent verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills; must have excellent written communication skills, computer skills, and problem-solving skills; must be able to read instructions accurately and format them appropriately for easy reading by employees.
