Job Description
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities required of personnel so classified.


Position Summary


As a member of the Training Department, the Training Specialist will develop, implement and monitor clinical trainings as determined by the Director of Training in consultation with the Senior Director.


Core Duties And Responsibilities


  • Ensure timely capture of training opportunities for staff and ensure staff training substitution as needed.
  • Coordinate and communicate in a timely and proactive manner with internal and external trainers, training coordinators, Enki Management and staff to facilitate staff certification in EBPs.
  • Develop, update, maintain and provide clinical trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures as applicable.
  • Provide supervision for unlicensed staff who are seeking licensure, in accordance with the staff’s respective Board requirements and professional standards.
  • Attend meetings with the Quality Assurance team, Training Director, and training team to collaborate to ensure cohesive Documentation Trainings.
  • Assist with other Training Department administrative functions as needed.
  • Facilitate and coordinate trainings internal and external to Enki employees as requested.
  • Coordinate with sites and Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health Training Coordinators to facilitate staff attendance at DMH, CIBHS and other trainings.
  • Continually learn and develop training skills.
  • Conduct trainings as needed such as: New Hire Onboarding Trainings, De-escalation, Field Safety, Time Management.
  • Provide one-on-one-site specific staff targeted trainings on clinical topics as requested.
  • Maintain up to date training priority spreadsheets.
  • Develop new and/or provide requested clinical and booster trainings as needed.


Minimum Education And Experience Preferred


  • Masters Degree level and above in a related field.
  • Prior Clinical Training Experience preferred.
  • Experience providing mental health services in a Department of Mental Health environment.


Licenses/Certifications


  • Certification and/or ability to supervise and/or train in any or all of the following preferred: TF-CBT, I-CBT, MAP, PCIT.
  • Valid California driver’s license, current automobile insurance and eligibility to drive for the Company is required.
  • Licensed MFT, LCSW, LPCC, Ph.D., or Psy.D. preferred.


Knowledge, Skills And Abilities


  • Able to exercise independent judgment, take initiative and work proactively.
  • Ability to perform in a positive, courteous, flexible, and adaptive manner.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both orally and written, in a group setting.
  • Ability to work well as a member of a team and independently to meet the needs of the department.
  • Computer literate and experienced with computer programs such as Microsoft Office Word, Power Point, Outlook, Excel and electronic medical health record .
  • Ability to meet the requirements to provide clinical supervision to ASW, APCC, AMFT and Ph.D. or Psy.D. preferred.
  • Must demonstrate competency in basic verbal skills, including reading comprehension, grammar, attention to detail, spelling, and punctuation.


Physical Requirements


  • Finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms, including ability to use a computer keyboard.
  • Speak and hear well enough (with or without assistive device) to converse in person and by telephone.
  • Stamina to effectively perform work activities.
  • Have the mobility (with or without assistive device) to stand, sit, crouch, and move from one work area to another.
  • See well enough (with or without corrected vision) to read fine print, hand-written materials, and a computer screen.
  • Have the strength to lift, carry or push office equipment and supplies used in normal job functions up to 20 lbs.


Pay Range: $20.00 - $40.00 Per Hour (Determined by Experience and Qualifications)
