WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position with a work schedule of five days and 40 hours/week. May be required to work in the evening. Duties & Responsibilities

1. Any combination of training and experience involving tool room responsibilities in the designated area that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
2. Applicant must have demonstrated cultural competency, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college staff, faculty, and students Desirable Qualifications
Ability to:
o Wear all required safety equipment, (including glasses, face shield, hearing protection, respirator, work shoes and heavy clothing)
o Train and supervise student assistants.
o Repair and maintain tools and equipment used in shop area to which assigned.
o Issue proper tools, materials and equipment needed by students.
o Maintain security and records for tool room area.
o Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students and faculty. Environmental Demands

Under general supervision, Toolroom Keeper I performs journey-level tool room duties in the welding department.
WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position with a work schedule of five days and 40 hours/week. May be required to work in the evening.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty of the position satisfactorily. - Schedules appointments for repair work.
- Maintains up-to-date record of consumable supplies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Cleans tool room, lab, locker, and classroom areas.
- Contacts vendors for cost estimates.
- Operates computer using word processing, spreadsheet and email programs.
- Maintains lab facilities to all applicable codes or other local, state or federal requirements and guidelines.
- Maintains backup documentation on purchase orders, repair orders, invoices, receipts and deposit slips for forwarding to bookkeeper.
- Maintains petty cash fund and deposits daily receipts in conjunction with the College Cashier’s Office.
- Orders supplies as needed.
- Maintains service contracts.
- Takes inventory and assists in preparing requisitions for supplies.
- Repairs and maintains tools and equipment.
- Supervises and personally participates in checking supplies, materials, parts, and hand and power tools in and out to students and instructors, including the maintenance of appropriate records and logs.
- Answers telephone and takes messages for instructors.
- Supervises, or personally performs duties relating to cleaning, painting, maintaining and repairing equipment.
- Maintains various work order records.
- Trains and supervises student assistants.
- Receives incoming materials and supplies and stores them in proper storage area.

- Knowledge of computers and some software programs (e.g., MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel).
Ability to:

o Train and supervise student assistants.
o Repair and maintain tools and equipment used in shop area to which assigned.
