Eaton’s AER FED Fluid Electrical Distribution is currently seeking a TIG Welding Specialist. This position is based at our Bethel, CT facility.
Eaton is a premier manufacturer in the aerospace industry specializing with creating components for commercial, military and space technologies
Core hours: 7AM-3:30PM.
The starting hourly pay rate for this position is $23-$28.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:
- Operate heat treat and furnace brazing equipment
- Operate semi-automated welding machines
- Some spot welding
- Perform leak testing operations
- Perform TIG & EB (electron beam) welding operations on small aerospace parts (our final products fit in the palm of your hand)
- Assemble, setup & maintain tooling
- Maintain quality records
- Tin & drill housings
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution required
- Minimum of 1 year of welding and/or machining experience required.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 60-mile radius of Bethel, CT will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in machining with close tolerances
- Experience with Electron Beam Welding and TIG Welding with close tolerances
Skills:
- Must be able to lift up to 70lbs
- Ability to qualify to AWSD17.1
