Cnc Toolroom/Programmer /Machinist

Summary Of The Job
We are seeking an experienced CNC Toolroom/Programmer /Machinist to work from blueprints, drawings, models, and/or sketches to repair tools for production of die casting molds, trim dies, and tooling fixtures.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for all phases of mold repair as well as fixtures and trim dies.
• Assists in prioritizing repairs to ensure maximum production capabilities.
• Ability to work and communicate with tool makers and engineers, or other personnel to produce desired tooling, fixtures, castings, or other parts.
• EDM experience would be a plus.
• Experience with bench work such as air tools and polishing are a must.
• Operates standard tool room equipment such as lathes, grinders, milling machines, etc.
• Knowledge of TS and ISO 14001.
• Observes machine operation to detect early work piece defects or machine malfunction.
• Working from blueprints, drawings, models, and/or sketches to repair tools for production of die casting molds, trim dies, and tooling fixtures.
• Programs, sets up, and conducts various repairs on die casting tools.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Review blueprints or drawings for machining capability.
• Repairs tools from blueprints, verbal instructions andor 3D models.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING And/or EXPERIENCE

• Proficiency with conventional mill, conventional lathe, surface grinder, and drill press
• 4-year college degree, or equivalent education with an emphasis on Machine Shop Technology and CNC training; or a minimum of 4 years industry-related experience
• Ability to read blueprints, interpret 3D models, understand sketches, and oral and written instructions in English
• Must be able to understand and communicate in English
• Proficiency with programming software in 2D & 3D - specifically Master CAM and SolidWorks
• Knowledge of conventional EDM and wire EDM machines
• Ability to perform quick math calculations using geometry and trigonometry

• Ability to perform quick math calculations using geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to read blueprints, interpret 3D models, understand sketches, oral and written instructions.
• Proficiency with CNC machining and programming.
• Proficiency with conventional mill, conventional lathe, surface grinder, and drill press.
