THE POSITION

• The New York Sales Manager, based in New York, is responsible for all tasks and activities aiming at accelerating the growth of the brand, including:
• Activating the target list of accounts to reach targeted distribution through tastings and point of sale merchandising, to increase sell-out and recruit loyal consumers; implementing a 360 approach when activating the targeted locations. Also, educating our promo partners for in store demos in line with the brand strategy
• Activation
• Analyzing performance of main activities, in order to constantly improve effectiveness and return on investment, reporting monthly to Sales Director on key initiatives
• Working with our E-Commerce manager to help activate accounts at retail level to ensure online
• Opening new accounts and increasing brand distribution across Metro New York; Maintaining and building upon key relationships, (minimal focus for Upstate);
• The New York Market Manager reports to the Sales Director.
• Educating, motivating and supporting distributor salesforce, on a daily basis; Including management meetings and negotiating priority status for “on goal” distributor planning

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Must have access to car and ability to visit target customers daily;
• Have enthusiasm and energy, and be a motivated self-starter who can work both on a team and
• Be able to manage sales and promotional activities within agreed budget;
• Be able to lift minimum of 50 lbs
• Independently in an entrepreneurial environment;
• Perfectly understand cognac’s core consumers, especially African-American;
• Possess time management and analytical skills (using Excel);
• Has proven selling skills records.
• Have 2-4 years sales experience in the spirits industry, including cognac; preferably with a NY based distributor or direct supplier
