Job Description
Meaningful Work From Day One


This role is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that build brand equity, drive revenue and engage consumers across all channels. You will partner with the General Manager, Regional Marketing Director, insights, finance, commercial, and distributor teams to ensure our marketing efforts are aligned with business objectives and meet the needs of our consumers. Success in the role is the development and execution of effective brand-building plans that drive sales, grow market share and build brand equity.


What You Can Expect


  • Leverage the Brown-Forman Growth Framework to develop brand marketing campaigns that resonate with target consumers and build mental and physical availability across all channels of the trade
  • Serve as the primary point for generating consumer and competitive intelligence and cascade through the organization and communicate back to the brand
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third-party vendors and agencies, ensuring that they provide high-quality and cost-effective marketing services
  • Lead the development, prioritization, localization, implementation, execution, and evaluation of brand, business, and consumer plans to maximize growth, profitability, and brand equity consistent with the national strategy
  • Manage campaign activation to ensure consistency of planning and evaluating marketing funds and other field/distributor based investments
  • Analyze market and consumer data to identify trends, insights and opportunities for growth
  • Act as primary brands advocate in an assigned cluster
  • Be a champion to the field for the brands and champion to the brands for the field
  • In partnership with the General Manager and Region Marketing Director, lead a balanced approach to deliver strategic imperatives for the portfolio, brands and region
  • Develop and manage high-performing direct report including development of marketing capabilities
  • Accountable for the delivery of the portfolio and brand business results of the Cluster
  • Responsible for impeccable budget management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets and influencers to increase brand affinity, consideration and purchase


We Are Looking For People Who


  • Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of effective strategic planning, execution and follow up
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree (Major in Marketing preferred) and 5-7 years sales and marketing experience or field marketing experience within the beverage or CPG industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, develop and motivate a team
  • Demonstrated ability to create, control, and maintain financial and/or business analyses, including budgets.
  • The ability to operate with a high level of energy on outcomes. Demonstrated enthusiasm for the organization through commitments and actions
  • Persuasive presentation, interpersonal, storytelling, and coaching skills
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage competitive intelligence when developing marketing plans
  • PC proficient in Google Suite
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, meet deadlines and simultaneously develop, deploy, and coordinate multiple projects
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships and strategic partnerships to effectively communicate ideas/solutions and constructively challenge, with various stakeholders across all levels and business areas of the organization to co-create content and align on solutions (GM, RMD, Agencies, extended Brand Teams, Distributors, Strategic Partners)
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound business decisions, have courageous conversations, influence others, prioritize portfolio and allocate resources effectively
  • High degree of independent judgment and initiative, in a team-oriented, self-managed and multicultural working environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work on projects with cross-functional teams to meet consensus goals

Pay


The range of pay for the role is $131,250 - $160,000 plus a 30% bonus (the base salary will be $105,000 -$128,000 paid semi-monthly; plus the cost of labor allowance equal to 25% of the base salary). The 30% bonus will be calculated off the base pay and cost of labor allowance paid annually contingent on performance of the company and individual.


Location


The successful candidate must reside in New York supporting the New York and New Jersey business.
