State Payroll Manager Jobs

Project Management skills with proven success leading projects.

Manage and escalate payroll and benefit related issues to third parties and work with each to ensure timely resolution.

•Experience delivering State / Federal system integration programs/projects

•Manages portfolio of projects’ execution to ensure conformity to established budgets, timelines, and scope.

Actively develop and manage relationships with wholesaler personnel including GM, channel VP’s, merchandisers, portfolio manager, sales managers and sales reps.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Sales or equivalent experience

5+ years of sales and marketing experience, preferably in the beverage alcohol industry

Experience managing distributor partners and key accounts

The New York Market Manager reports to the Sales Director.

Has proven selling skills records.

Be able to manage sales and promotional activities within agreed budget;

Have 2-4 years sales experience in the spirits industry, including cognac; preferably with a NY based distributor or direct supplier

Knowledge of all operational task and ability to train those tasks.

Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.

Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.

Prepare product correctly at an advanced pace.

Receive and process telephone orders.

Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.

Interacting with employees and customers

Store operations on their shifts.

Lifting up to 25 pounds

Must be friendly, diligent and responsible

Data entry of payroll inputs (i.e. commissions, bonuses, fringe benefits).

Experience in payroll and sales/use tax processing preferred.

Experience with Workday modules for Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking preferred.

Experience with Vertex Cloud preferred.

Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality requirements.

Maintain and update employee payroll information in software (i.e. direct deposits, federal, state and local taxes).

Responds to requests from employees, management, as well as internal and external auditors.

Requires 5 years or more of Payroll experience as a payroll analyst, supervisor, or manager or related experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong analytical, attention-to-detail; problem solving skills.

Oversees the reconciliation of all payrolls.

Candidate must have 7-10 years of related experience

Technically proficient in MS Office (specifically Excel), HCM systems experience a plus, Payroll or HR experience a plus.

Oversee employee data compare process form Workday to UKG Pro/UTA.

Owns processing a controls of manual and exception payments being processed using the GOAT template uploaded to UKG Pro.

Special Projects (including but not limited to contract changes, process changes, audit, etc.)

Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.

Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.

Receive and process telephone orders.

Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.

Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.

Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.

Demonstrate independent decision making through previous work experience.

Manages and oversees the payroll assistant.

Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Effectively use computer hardware and software applicable to assignment.

Ability to independently research and analyze information for complex or sensitive projects.

Ability to communicate with the highest degree of professionalism and tact with staff, administrators, students, parents and community.

5 - 7 years payroll specific experience and 2+ years' experience at manager level.

Manage various payroll vendor relationships and assist with contracts.

Experience with Workforce Software preferred.

Familiarity or experience with SAP SuccessFactors preferred.

Education and years of experience must be related to the purpose of the position.

Minimum 7 years of payroll experience with high volume payrolls with (1,000+) employees, exempt and non-exempt.

Advanced program or project management experience in the global payroll space, required

Demonstrate wide-ranging experience and use professional concepts in developing resolutions to critical issues.

Ensure legal and compliance considerations are fully accounted for in all requirements.

Manage small and large tasks and time allocations for multiple projects and across multiple departments simultaneously.

Manage project-related reporting and communication.

Compile and manage project related financial and important metric information.

Experience with retirement systems is desirable.

Must meet the requirements for bonding.

Communicates legally required information and advisories to District administration and employees of the District.

Directs and/or prepares correspondence, reports, statistical summaries, announcements, and other materials related to payroll and retirement operations.

Selects, trains, and evaluates assigned staff to ensure effective and efficient office operations.

5+ years direct experience in federal government acquisition management activities or asset management requirements.

15+ years of experience with federal government acquisition management activities.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail related to project management and task/deadline tracking

Experience in private sector as Senior Consultant, Team Lead, Program Manager equivalent position providing contracted support to federal agencies preferred.
