Sr. Accountant, US Controllership

SUMMARY

This Sr. Accountant role is part of the US Controllership team and is responsible for the accounting for the Corporate function as well as overall US Compensation and Benefits Accounting. The successful candidate will be an experienced accountant reporting to the Associate Director, US Controllership. The candidate should be able to multi-task and work both independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment and be a strong collaborator and communicator, as there will be a lot of interaction with business partners. Attention to detail and good analytical skills are essential to this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partnering with Corporate Business Partners and FP&A to understand activities which drive the US GAAP accounting
• Ensuring internal SOX controls are working effectively and proposing improvements to support an evolving accounting environment
• Leading and participating in process transformation and efficiencies, including identifying and driving areas for streamlining and improvements
• Completing 10Q and 10K disclosure support for submission to the External Reporting team
• Reviewing contracts to determine the correct US GAAP Accounting and drafting of memos, where necessary
• Participating in global cross functional projects with other regions
• Providing guidance to the business and FP&A on accounting, including education, presentations, and training
• Supporting both internal and external audits
• Preparing monthly JEs and account reconciliations related to the accounting for Corporate, SaaS, Employee Compensation, and other accounting areas

EXPERIENCE

• Self-starter who can work on their own initiative
• Strong desire to learn and progress
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in General Ledger Accounting, preferably with combination of Big 4 audit and large public company experience
• ERP systems experience, preferably Oracle EBS and/or SAP
• Experience in monthly close activities in a deadline-driven environment

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Business Administration required and Certified Public Accountant desirable
