Reports to: Corporate Controller

Location: Pomona, CA

Base Pay: 65K - 75K

Summary:

The accountant position will manage, develop, control the operational reporting and cost accounting functions of the Pomona facility, it will also coordinate all monthly financial reporting, and internal control activities, become a key member of the site leadership team tasked with business unite performance, while ensuring compliance with Luxfer Group policies, procedures, and SOX controls. This position will coordinate closely with corporate accounting personnel on local issues and operational reporting and will be seeking personal development and professional growth.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Oversee preparation of capital spending requests consistent with Luxfer Group policy and the direction of the Corporate Controller.
• Work directly with Corporate Controller of Manufacturing, and Pomona Management staff to optimize the performance of the Pomona site.
• Review, maintain, and update local costing standards and oversee the accounting and management of inventory. Analyze and report on key operational variances.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of required management reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Manage all activities involved in the reporting of financial and operational performance, working capital management for the Pomona Plant.
• Work directly with Corporate and Business Unit management to develop and maintain effective systems for understanding financial performance.
• Maintain required internal control structure and procedures for management reporting in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX). Oversee key local control processes for accounting, revenue recognition, inventory, and fixed assets.
