We are seeking a senior product manager to help define, deliver, and iteratively improve personalization features across Apple Music. In this role you will join a team dedicated to developing and communicating an innovative long-term personalization product vision, while also creating new strategies and techniques to improve the experience of every listener. You will use your strong communication skills to collaborate closely with engineering, data science, design, editorial, Siri, marketing, and many other teams across Apple. Given the high degree of partnership that is required for success in this role, you must be exceptional in earning trust with others and cut through ambiguity. The ideal applicant has strong expertise in product management, machine learning and recommender systems, and a passion for innovation.

Key Qualifications

Strong product intuition, with a passion for creating innovative experience driven products
With a record of wins, 7+ years of product management or experience building working products in machine learning, personalization, recommender systems, or similar
Conviction to always do what’s best for customers, with great taste and an understanding of markets and possibilities
Exceptional communication skills, with a proven record for creating, documenting, and presenting product strategies and features, pitching to leadership and gaining support across the company
Deep understanding of the opportunities and limitations of machine learning
Analytically minded, with experience in product analysis, performance metrics, experimentation, and data storytelling
Strong interpersonal skills, with flexibility to adapt to change and influence in a dynamic, discourse-driven environment
Self-motivated and proactive, with demonstrated creative and critical thinking abilities
A strong interest in digital media products and services

Description

- Define and partner to build the best personalized customer experiences across Apple Music globally

- Create a compelling product roadmap and earn alignment with business, design, engineering, and more

- Write crisp product requirements and presentations that capture the long-term vision, goals, and key areas of new offerings

- Partner with data science and engineering teams on research and development for new features.

- Establish, adopt and deliver on key metrics around customer growth, engagement, and retention

- Use product intuition and data to drive ongoing and frequent iterative improvements, while championing an experiment-focused culture

- Develop strong technical knowledge to be able to dive deep to troubleshoot customer issues

- Partner across teams at Apple to communicate and launch products in compelling ways

- Deeply understand the market and competitive landscape to help identify new areas of opportunity

- Work closely with other product managers across the company to align with Apple strategies

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree and MBA or graduate degree in a technical field preferred. Extensive industry experience may also be considered.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,000 and $207,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
