We are responsible for leading hardware engineering development from product concept to mass production. We are looking for an Inventory Specialist to support the team by getting engineering development products and materials into the hands of engineers!

Key Qualifications

Self driven and skilled in dealing with ambiguity, adapts to changes quickly
Inventory control management and logistics experience
Exceptional attention to detail; thorough when investigating and reconciling inventory discrepancies
Knowledge of commonly used inventory control concepts, practices and procedures
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
Proficient in MS Excel and Numbers
Ability to function both individually and on a team at a high level
Experience managing, organizing and maintaining large quantities of data
Trustworthy, upholds Apple’s new product secrecy requirements with upmost integrity

Description

As an Inventory Specialist, you will manage logistics of incoming and outgoing shipments (international & domestic), and maintain an organized inventory of materials related engineering development builds. You will be responsible for:

- Collecting, receiving and distributing incoming shipments from the office mail room, shipping warehouse, secure logistics warehouse, and from deliveries directly from vendors at the office

- Preparing outbound shipment requests and keeping packaging materials stocked

- Resolving custom clearance issues when needed, and putting process in place to help prevent/minimize customs issues before they arise

- Importing ship-to-files from contract manufacturer (CM) and/or vendors into Apple’s internal tracking software for tracking new product development hardware

- Delivering materials to multiple Apple building locations as needed

- Maintaining an organized library of prototypes and materials

- Working with EPM and EPS team to fulfill requests from the library

- Periodically purging older prototypes and materials per guidelines

- Support local build activities with receiving, inventory management, and material kitting

Education & Experience

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $92,700 and $179,100 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
