Description
Asuragen and Exosome Diagnostics, both Bio-Techne Brands, provides best-in-class molecular diagnostic products to improve the way patients are treated in genetics and oncology. Our diagnostic systems, which include proprietary chemistry and software, are designed for use with widely available instruments to ease adoption and quickly expand lab test menus. Our diagnostic tests and companion diagnostic partnerships address current and emerging clinical needs, including cancer diagnosis and monitoring as well as reproductive health.

Key Requirements And Duties

• Conduct annual cost roll in coordination with Finance.
• Integrate the supply chain functions of the two sites for improved efficiency, visibility, cost savings, and inventory control.
• Lead staff and manage the activities associated with materials management including purchasing, planning, inventory control, cycle counts, and cost savings.
• Recognize problems, perform root cause analysis, and recommend solutions.
• Provide oversight and management of the internal supply centers which stock commonly used lab supplies.
• Ensure inventory is stocked to meet forecast demands in warehouse sites in Austin, TX and Rennes, France and CLIA testing laboratories in Austin, TX and Waltham, MA.
• Conduct monthly S&OP meetings to update/discuss forecast, inventory/scrap risks and product life cycles.
• Provide mentorship and career development of staff.
• Responsible for negotiation, review, renewal, and execution of supply agreements for purchasing materials, supplies, equipment, and services from qualified vendors.
• Generate timely and accurate performance metrics and trends; identify opportunities for continuous performance improvement.
• Follow applicable regulations and approved internal processes, practices, and procedures to ensure that FDA, ISO/IVDR/MDSAP and CLIA/CAP regulations and quality system standards are met.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Support disposition of non-conforming materials, working with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
• Manage the implementation and daily activities in three ERP systems for both sites and work with stakeholders to develop a plan for consolidation and streamlining, where possible.
• Oversee/support the supply chain functions of two sites – Austin, TX and Waltham, MA.
• Provide subject matter expertise for supply chain functions on the future consolidation to one ERP system.
• Write and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and documents consistent with a cGMP environment .
• Provide written and verbal reports and presentations to senior management as required. Represent the Supply Chain function in management meetings as required.
• Responsible for managing the Supply Chain departmental budget.
• Responsible for monitoring supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
• Provide key data and input for product life cycle management.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:

• Experience implementing and working with ERP systems.
• APICS Certification preferred, but not required.
• B. S./B. A. or M.S. in Business Administration or Supply Chain or related field from a four-year college or university and 5-7 years of related purchasing or planning experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Significant knowledge of and experience working under cGMP Manufacturing Regulations and ISO13485.

Preferable Skills And Attributes

• Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
• Skilled in use of software programs such as Microsoft Office and database management programs
• Ability to build strong relationships across a wide spectrum of internal and external parties.
• Strong results orientation and effective change agent.
• Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team and management.
• Follows direction and instructions accurately, asks questions and learns quickly, attention to detail.
• Knowledge of FDA Quality System Requirements, ISO13485/IVDR/MDSAP, CLIA/CAP and cGMP.
• Ability to train/mentor others.
• Personable with a positive attitude.
• Can manage multiple projects/teams/sites.
• ERP knowledge: QAD especially beneficial
• Strong problem-solving skills.
