Scope

The primary responsibility is to execute supply chain localization strategy for company products.

This role will be working closely with the company global procurement and product team to identify U.S domestic suppliers and negotiate purchase terms to support the global manufacturing network.

Responsibilities

• Work with HQ team to initiate and develop supplier management tools to monitor local suppliers performance.
• Provide report to management team as required.
• Make supply strategy recommendations to stakeholders based on supply market forecast.
• Conduct supplier risk assessment. Come up with risk mitigation plans as necessary.
• Execute RFQ, negotiate price and contract terms.
• Initiate cost reduction measures.
• Monitor supply market situation for key commodities (Steel, Aluminum, Glass, Logistics, etc.)
• Work with the legal team to execute NDA, LOI, MOU and purchase framework documents as necessary.
• Develop strategic sourcing plans using data based analysis methods.
• Work with global procurement, product and manufacturing team to identify potential suppliers.

Qualifications

• Self starter with strong teamwork skills. Ability to form and work with cross-functional teams to tackle challenges.
• Strong communication skills. Comfortable with communicating with co-workers from different cultures.
• Strong negotiation skills and familiar with purchasing contract commercial terms.
• Willing to travel up to 20%, some international travel might be required.
• Microsoft office skills and presentation skills.
• Global sourcing experience is a plus.
• 5-8 years of experience in supply chain. Solar module or solar components OEM experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other equivalent sourcing related.
• MUST HAVE vendor sourcing and vendor management experience
