Supply Chain Manager Jobs

Our Allen, TX client, a manufacturer of dietary supplements has an exciting opportunity for a:

Director of Supply Chain Management:

The primary objective of the role is to:

• Stabilize and upgrade inventory management and reporting

• Reduce obsolete inventory and required inventory reserve

• Partner with Operations/Production to develop and implement MPS and lengthen

the planning horizon

• Improve and further develop MRP system functionality and accuracy

• Partner with Account Management to close the gap between production and

shipping (Production vs. GAAP revenue)

• Maximize vendor relationships, terms and discount programs

• Formalize and develop logistics team and services

Experience

• 7-10 years+ of increasingly broad supply chain management and

planning experience in a smaller company.

• SCM metric accountability: inventory, warehouse and transportation

costs, etc.

• Track record of sustained improvement in an appropriate set of KPIs

• Some experience in at least one organization with relatively mature

processes and systems and

• Experience with a mid-sized organization with limited resources that

needs process improvement

• Working knowledge of MS Dynamics GP and/or Batchmaster a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong analytical skills with significant SCM application experience:

procurement, inventory optimization, warehouse configuration and

management, etc.

• High level of hands-on Excel capability and/or direct management

of an Excel SCM Analyst

• Moderately-developed leadership and communication skills

• Emerging aptitude for getting things done via organizational

structures and rhythms with less need to be personally involved in

the details

• Bachelor’s degree required
