THE ROLE:


We are looking for a Director, Brand Communications to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Brand Communications function, including driving strategies to promote AG1, enhance our reputation, and establish our brand’s role in broader culture. This role will sit on a cross-functional Communications team, and work closely with partners across the Brand and Creative teams who lead strategy, content, community, partnerships, and activations.


This is a highly collaborative role that requires someone with vision and passion for building. The ideal candidate is a strong strategic thinker, exceptional writer, and natural connector — and has the ability to make both an immediate impact and build the roadmap to see through a long-term vision. Most importantly: you have a genuine passion to empower people to take ownership of their health through a focus on nutrition.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:


  • Develop and implement brand communication strategies that are aligned with the AG1 brand and business objectives.
  • Manage and empower thought leaderships for our team of doctors, scientists, and researchers, as well as C-suite leadership and key spokespeople for the brand.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Brand and Creative, as well as Research, Nutrition & Innovation (RNI) to guide alignment of AG1 brand messages and strategies, as well as consistency in brand tone across all external comms initiatives.
  • Translate our brand book and brand guidelines into effective media materials and talking points to represent our point of view.
  • Monitor and analyze brand perception, market trends, and competitive activities to proactively maintain AG1’s leadership position.
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of Brand Communication efforts using key metrics, such as brand awareness, audience engagement, and perception analysis.
  • Manage AG1’s U.S. PR function day-to-day, including managing our brand PR agency, writing press releases and talking points, managing ongoing media opportunities, and coordinating with our affiliate team.
  • Build an AG1 VIP practice to maintain relationships with celebrity, professional, and high-profile fans, and ensure their experience with the brand and product are seamless.
  • Create and influence compelling brand content platforms to drive AG’s brand narrative, including campaign development, social and editorial content, and press materials.
  • Maintain a strong network of media relationships on behalf of the brand
  • Alongside the Brand team, build and manage an ongoing 6-12 month roadmap of storytelling opportunities.
  • Work with geographic partners to lead local communications and media approaches in key geos (UK, DACH, China, etc.), further AG’s reputation and brand goals globally
  • With the Customer Happiness and social teams, manage public brand responses to questions and comments, including crisis response.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages tailored to various voices, audiences, and communication channels.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a “no task too small” attitude.
  • 8+ years of experience, with a proven track record of working with high-growth brands to actively build the brand’s perception and relationship with customers.
  • A natural connector who is passionate about empowering health ownership, and excited to participate in a broader cultural conversation around health, wellness, sport, and personal growth

AG is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is $135,000.00 - $175,000.00 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
