Senior Business Analyst Jobs

Job Summary/Purpose

Neurolens is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (and aspiring Product Owner/Manager) to add horsepower, organization and solution clarity to a fast-moving team with increasing demands from our stakeholders (both internally and externally). This role is critical to scale and mature the Neurolens organization as the company embarks on an ambitious roadmap to expand its footprint in the optical market, and ultimately transform lives.

The scope of this role includes (but is not limited to)…

• Documentation – as an organization adhering to strict quality standards, our business requirements and test protocols must be robust.While the templates for all documentation are very clear, the precision and consistency of each becomes increasingly important as the teams scope and products increase.This role would bring additional horsepower to ensure high quality execution of all documentation.
• Solution evaluation & recommendations – by gaining an understanding of our current arsenal of tools and technology, while also understanding what’s available in the marketplace, determining best-fit solutions is core to this role.
• People, process, and technology clarity – as a organization moving from the startup to the growth phase, we have an increasing demand on the documented interaction between people, process and technology.This role can increase clarity and therefore efficiency for our development team by building ensuring the best solution is built first.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Take on full responsibility for requirement documentation, including user stories as well as Marketing and Product Spec documentation

•Play critical role in interpreting/translating requirements for developers

•Draft process flows to demonstrate key decision points/branching logic as well as interactions with users/roles and systems

•Draft wireframes, mockups, prototypes to help drive clarity during requirements definition

•Interface with stakeholders as needed to drive requirement clarity, including and especially “exception” scenarios

•Act as a resource for stakeholders to consider and evaluate solutions to needs/issues expressed by customers and stakeholders

•Thoroughly document project requests, solicit feedback and obtain sign off from stakeholders

•Work closely with Test Analyst and rest of Business Services team to coordinate and execute high quality testing with each software release.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Initially, no supervisory duties

Education, Experience, And Training:

•7+ years experience documenting process and business requirements (as a Business Analyst or similar role)

•7+ years experience organizaing, planning and executing software testing (end-to-end system testing through UAT)

•7+ years experience with Microsoft Dev Ops (or similar tool for requirements/backlog management)

•5+ years of first-hand stakeholder and customer management

•2+ years experience with wireframe, mockup and prototype development to help drive requirement clarity

•Intimate familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies

•Constant curiosity in software solutions and ongoing awareness of off-the-shelf solutions

•Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field

•Experience in managing personnel and/or outside vendors is a plus

•Familiarity with FDA Regulations for a Class 1 Medical Device (21 CFR 820) is a plus

•Familiarity with the Microsoft stack of solutions and products (e.g. Active Directory, Sharepoint, Power BI, Power Apps, etc.) is a plus

•Familiarity with SQL Server, writing SQL queries and general data architecture is a plus

•Familiarity and experience with the following tools would be advantageous:

•Hubspot

•Skyvia

•Figma (or similar)

•Miro (or similar)

•Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and convey complex ideas.

•Ability to work well in cross-functional teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

•Willingness to learn and adapt to changing business needs and technologies.

•Domain knowledge in the optical and/or medical field is a plus
