Senior Business & Financial Analyst

Clayton Services is searching for a Senior Business & Financial Analyst to join a growing company in Houston, Texas. The Senior Business & Financial Analyst will be a collaborative and service-oriented individual who is responsible for building and maintaining rigorous financial models to support strategic decision-making.

Job Type: Direct Hire

Pay Rate: $170,000 - $175,000/year plus discretionary bonus

Senior Business & Financial Analyst Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively across the organization to frame model requirements and ensure the perspectives of various inside and outside stakeholders are met
• Synthesize and analyze relevant market data from varying public and proprietary sources
• Other duties as assigned
• Be a key member of the team responsible for the annual strategic planning cycle and budget process
• Build and maintain rigorous financial models to support strategic decision-making, including but not limited to models to support equity investment and capitalization, project development and financing, supply chain management, assessment of tax and regulatory programs, benchmarking, corporate budgeting and portfolio management
• Provide modeling support during negotiations on key financial transactions
• Develop actionable and insightful analysis, high-quality presentations, and detailed reporting content to assist strategic planning and critical business activities

Senior Business & Financial Analyst Skills and Abilities:

• Innovative, collaborative, and a self-starting problem solver
• Working knowledge of valuing domestic and international companies utilizing both IFRS and GAAP accounting is a plus
• Demonstrated understanding of financial statements and financial valuation metrics
• Contextual abilities and knowledge of what information is required at what time and for varying audiences
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships built on trust, service, and accountability
• Advanced experience in Excel skills in financial modeling and analysis
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of the time with occasional time overseas
• Demonstrated ability to summarize complex analysis into logical presentations
• Tolerance to ambiguity and rapid change while empathetically fulfilling customer needs
• Excellent organizational skills to manage the delivery of multiple fast-paced requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills

Senior Business & Financial Analyst Education and Experience:

• Basic understanding of renewable energy policies, including IRA, RFS, Land CFS, RED II, and how they affect project economics
• Experience in consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or asset development/appraisal, with broad domain knowledge of the opportunities created by the energy transition
• B.S. or M.S. in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or MBA with 5+ years of experience
