What you’ll do:
- Detailed sales reporting by customer and product. This includes gross to net sales reporting. Review historical sales trends, research drivers, prepare forecast data, develop forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
- Business partner to the Americas Commercial team who provides a wide range of financial planning and analytical support to improve business performance.
- Responsible for the compilation, evaluation, and analysis of financial information and other financial data.
- Collaborate effectively in daily interactions with VP and C-level executive team to co-pilot business as finance thought partner.
- We are looking for someone who thrives in a transparent and collaborative culture while providing financial planning and analysis that supports strategic decision-making and tells the financial story of Hoya Vision Care America.
- Support the achievement of these goals by proactively monitoring and searching for solutions to barriers.
- Be an advocate and champion for processes improvement, implementing automation where possible.
- Build volume-driven revenue forecasts by customer supported with fact-based data driven insights, analysis, and modeling. Support the HVC Americas Planning process across assigned customers and products to ensure joined view (including Commercial, Supply Chain, Lab Operations and Marketing) across the CxO teams.
- Help create and support the development of key financial goals (budget/strategic plan) and forecasts.
- Prepare monthly margin reporting, analyze customer performance, and drive conversations with the sales team on profitable growth. Recommend action plans if there is any deviation to agreed customer targets.
- Works with minimal supervision and sense of urgency. Takes initiative to solve problems, make recommendations and ensure implementation.
- Complete the month end close reporting for the Americas sales channels. Provide visibility to SG&A budgets for Administrative and Support functions (e.g., Marketing, Customer Service, etc.). Research and prepare variance analysis explanations.
- This role will be expected to provide thorough informed decision making and standardized, timely, and reliable data-driven insights.
- “Tell the story” of customer results and sales performance, and help ensure sales performance stays in-line with or above plan.
- Strong executive presence, organization, and time management skills.
- Communicate ideas concisely to a wide variety of stakeholders for purposes ranging from informative to need for financial approval from executives. Engage with channel teams to collaborate on forecasting, obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Experience with analytical projects, actual profit and loss reporting, and process improvement
- Prior optical industry experience (preferred)
- Master’s degree in business, Finance or Accounting (preferred)
- Power BI (preferred)
- SAP experience
- Oracle Financial Planning (Hyperion, FCCS, Essbase)
- Knowledge of GAAP (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Business with a Finance or Accounting focus.
- 5+ years in Finance, Accounting, or related analytical business discipline
- Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
