Senior Analyst / Vice President Role
We are searching for a self-driven, data-focused, and client-first Senior Analyst / Vice President to support all execution activity that results in client success, from onboarding to sale/transaction, in a fast-paced, professional consulting and advisory services capacity.
The successful candidate will be able to leverage training from a management consulting or investment banking firm to continue building skills in both M&A/strategic consulting and the education industry. This is a full-time role that requires responsive, flexible availability that will most impactfully serve dynamic client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner directly with clients to develop high-impact business strategies and implementation plans in response to real-world, time-sensitive challenges brought forward by the client
- Develop and implement team work-plans and execute on projects to support client success. Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on core strategic issues for clients
- Develop valuation models and analyses, for compiling research for multiple industries, and researching both private and public companies
- Support Partners in researching and creating marketing pitch materials, building financial models to value potential clients, and researching industries or sectors
- Assist in active equity and merger and acquisition transaction execution including financial analysis, model creation, drafting memoranda, due diligence, attending client meetings, creating data rooms, and support services required to assist in closing an engagement
- Identify key data sources and gather data through interviews and secondary research
- Manage research and data collection activities to analyze key trends and challenges facing the education market
- Write and deliver high-impact research briefs, presentations and plans
- Generate creative, action-oriented insights and recommendations for both internal and external improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in business, finance or education preferred
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience working at at management consulting or investment banking firm
- Preferred, but not required: Experience serving the education or corporate training market
- Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Docs and Web 2.0 tools
- Strong knowledge of accounting, corporate finance, financial modeling, and valuation preferred
- Superior written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, results-oriented work ethic based upon responsibility and enthusiasm
- Strong interpersonal and team-management skills with the ability to be a team player
- Genuine desire to work in a collegial environment to support growing entrepreneurial learning- companies in the broader education ecosystem
