ACR is embarking on a pivotal project to centralize our billing and collection process. We are seeking a Sr Accounts Receivable Assistant to transform and modernize our accounts receivable function. This position will support the implementation of a centralized accounts receivable process and related systems to automate and streamline invoicing and collections. Your contributions will have direct impact on this new optimal state of accounts receivable.

What you will be responsible for:

• Process transactions and payments within various accounting systems.
• Monitor accounts receivable inbox and phone queue.
• Develop and document improvements for policies, procedures, and processes.
• Perform ad hoc duties as assigned.
• Support monthly AR closing and producing applicable reports.
• Provide support to program areas within the college.
• Create schedules and reports to support interim and annual audits.
• Capture remote deposits of live checks and process lockbox and electronic deposits.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and complex issues with receipts.
• Reconciles accounting ledgers with various systems.
• Maintain tracking systems.
• Provide supporting analysis and ad-hoc reporting as requested.

You possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business related field is preferred
• 7+ years AR experience in a corporate environment
• Experience with mid-market/enterprise systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proven aptitude for systems; intermediate Excel skills

This position will work on a Hybrid schedule, coming into the Reston, VA office twice a week (specifically Mondays & Thursdays, subject to change). When working remotely, you must be self-motivated, possess excellent time management, and be highly organized in an environment where shifting priorities are the norm. Reliable internet connection is a must!

ACR’s goal is to pay competitively and equitably. It is typical for individuals to be hired in the entry to middle of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on each case’s circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the hourly compensation range is $27.00 – $36.00.
