Description & Requirements

The Sr. Analyst- National Accounts is a newly created role dedicated to supporting a defined subset of National Accounts (NA) channels as an overall priority growth channel for the US Away From Home (AFH) Business Unit (BU). This role is crucial in developing clear strategic priorities- implementing structured go-to-market plans- and fostering internal and external relationships to drive our AFH objectives forward.

AFH is all about Taste- Flavor- and Experience and the NA channel is a place that all three elements come to life on the biggest stages of the Away From Home industry. We have aligned and dedicated specific resources to support current and accelerate new- high impact critical initiatives for this channel and with that brings high visibility and high expectations. This role highlights our portfolio of #1 brands- some of the most iconic brands in the world- on a national level- diving deep with big customers and providing high-impact experiences to our consumers. This channel also provides a unique opportunity to develop multifaceted marketing skills and business insight across several sub-channels of traditional non-commercial segments such as lodging- college & universities- and stadiums as well as traditional commercial restaurants.

This role provides direct interaction with cross-functional activities including AFH Leadership- Consumer Insights- Sales- Brand Marketing- Operations- Research & Development- and Finance- resulting in strengthened marketing fundamentals and a broad view to driving business growth. This role also interacts with customer and industry partners- developing direct relationships to effectively drive the marketing agenda and support the overall customer strategy.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Takes ownership of channel to identify channel and consumers trends- needs- and business opportunities and turn insights into actions in clear and impactful steps to influence key stakeholders to drive progress.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with customer and industry counterparts.
  • High-level of curiosity to understand business- trends- and marketing capabilities.
  • Owns reporting on channel initiatives through regular rituals and routines and ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Owner who will develop and implement channel strategies to drive brands- volume- and margin.
  • P&L management- indirect ownership supporting Finance and Sales and understands key levers to increase profit.
  • Drives teamwork- development- and execution of initiatives internally across functions.
  • Monitors and analyzes sales volumes- market share trends- and competitive activity.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders
  • Initiates and maintains R&D projects through the commercialization processes.
  • Supports joint business planning driving marketing strategy with priority customers.
  • Sr Analyst leading defined NA channels and supporting NA team initiatives.

Expected Experience & Required Skills

  • Experience in strategic and tactical marketing plan development- leading the P&L and budget to deliver on critical initiatives.
  • Ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously meeting milestones and results.
  • Diligent with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience in multi-channel marketing- product management- brand management; Foodservice experience a plus but not required.
  • Pro-active problem solver- with the ability to assess an issue and develop action steps for resolution.
  • Ability to persuade and build coalitions and credibility across organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in business- customer- and consumer needs.
  • Outstanding verbal- written- and interpersonal communication skills with experience working with external partners- customers- and vendors.
  • Strong analytical skills to perform detailed analysis on large data sets- derive insights- and interpret findings to cross-functional leadership with clear action plans.
  • Able to work as part of a matrix- with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally towards a common goal.
  • Self-starter mentality with a positive attitude to make a difference each day.

Work Environment & Schedule

This is a Hybrid role with 2-3 days a week in the local office- with 35% travel or visits to external locations. Additionally- this role requires working a salaried- exempt schedule to best execute against customer and internal expectations

Physical demands include but not limited to

  • Willingness to drive and/or travel as needed (projected 15%)
  • Operate a computer and view screens for ~100% of work schedule

Office Collaboration & Hybrid Work Environment
