You will perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of organic, inorganic compounds, or biologics to determine chemical and physical properties during chemical syntheses, fermentation or drug product development process.

You will be using your scientific judgment to adapt standard methods and techniques by applying prior work experience and consulting others. Your ability to plan will help in preparing short-term work activities on projects. Your creativity in developing novel processes and new ideas will be used frequently. How You Will Achieve It

• Communicate progress, plans, requirements and risks to the senior analyst, manager, stakeholders in partner groups and higher management informally and, if required, formally through written reports and presentations.
• Analyze and communicate experimental results both orally and in written reports to colleagues and management.
• Provide the necessary documentation for regulatory submissions as required and writes deficiency responses.
• Prepare and review technical documents, including validation protocols and reports, analytical test procedures, investigation reports, and change controls.
• Develop analytical methodologies and strategies needed to progress biotherapeutic products in the pipeline.
• Contribute to achievement of goals and influences at the work group/project team level.
• Assist in the establishment of analytical procedures and interpret results/technical data.
• Actively participate and report progress into cross-functional project teams to meet customer expectations, project milestones.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Proficiency with personal computers including word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint and relevant scientific software is desirable. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• BS degree with 6 or MS degree with 4 years relevant experience
• Demonstrated technical expertise in functional verification of design
• Able to interact effectively with peers and leaders as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• A strong background in analytical chemistry, protein biochemistry, biophysics, and separation techniques is essential. Hands on experience with liquid chromatography is preferred.
• Working knowledge of applicable industry test standards, relevant regulatory guidance, Design Controls and Product Development Process
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
• Previous experience developing and utilizing separation-based analytical techniques (RPHPLC, IEX, SEC, CE) is essential. Experience with applying these methodologies to biomolecules is strongly preferred.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in using Mass spectrometry (LC/MS) for large biomolecules and MS related software (Xcalibur, BioPharma Finder, MassLynx, Protein Metrics)
• Exceptional interpersonal skills preferred and a proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation, leadership and initiative
• Familiarity with R or python programming language and automation using liquid handling automation robots

Physical/Mental Requirements

• Standard laboratory conditions – sitting, standing, primarily lab based
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and ability to perform complex data analysis
