Position Summary

As the Sales Support Manager you will report to the Sr Director of Sales Operations (with a dotted line to the SVP of Sales). You will manage a small team and be responsible for a variety of sales management and sales operations support tasks including but not limited to: event planning for non-SKO & non-conference team meetings, maintaining team org charts, contact sheets and email aliases, maintaining sales team events and PTO calendar, administration of sales incentive plans, managing third party sales tool access/training, onboarding of department new hires including tying off changes with HR, department resume filtering and hiring support, agenda management for weekly recurring meetings, managing the RFP repository, coordination with marketing on roadshows and campaigns, sales process optimization and Salesforce data hygiene, department PO requests and budget tracking.

This team is the key to making sure the sales team and sales management operates smoothly and can spend more time focusing on customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the RFP Response Library.
• Oversees special projects focused on sales process improvement.
• Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
• Coordinates training for new hires.
• Sales Support Manager manages the daily operations of the sales support function.
• Oversees the allocation and workflow of all support activities outlined above.
• This person is a player / coach meaning they will manage their small group but have their own individual tasks they are directly responsible for completing

Required Skills

• Results-oriented and process driven, with high expectations of self and team
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Experience in sales, solar, energy storage, construction, design, or related industry a plus.
• Ability to multi-task, work under tight deadlines, with strong project management, organizational and coordination skills.
• Strong ability to communicate across departments and drive to “get things done.”
• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks across the team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail a MUST!
• Ability to work under pressure and balance multiple tasks
• Collaborative mindset with strength in effectively receiving and communicating feedback

Required Education and Experience

• Expert-level abilities in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• 5+ years of successful sales/sales operations support experience
• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM
• Bachelor’s degree required.
