Swinter Group, Inc. is a winter services company. We perform snow removal on large commercial, industrial, and health facilities; offer expert witness services to attorneys regarding slip and fall litigation; and serve other snow removal companies via consultative and software services as well as selling bulk and bagged deicers. In addition, through Krown St. Louis, a division of Swinter, we provide corrosion protection to all types of vehicles, from individuals to municipalities.

The Admin Office Assistant/Receptionist will spend half of the time at the front desk and half in a cubicle. At the front desk, this person serves as the first point of contact for both Krown St. Louis and Swinter Group and, therefore, requires a positive attitude and professional appearance. We are looking for someone who enjoys multi-tasking, helping others, and can handle a fast-paced environment as well as keep busy during any slow times. This position requires a self-starter who enjoys learning and interacting with many different types of people.
Duties shall include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain office filing and storage systems
- Fax, scan, and copy documents
- Answer phones and transfer calls to the appropriate staff member
- Request, receive, and handle COI's and W-9's from subcontractors
- Contact customers to remind them of upcoming appointments
- Enter and maintain Hauling/DOT records
- Ensure office equipment is properly maintained and serviced
- Helping the rest of the staff with various responsibilities
- Create and send invoices and communications to customers and vendors via email
- Enter bills and credit card charges into accounting system
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail
- Coordinate and organize appointments
- Keep office area clean and tidy, including monitoring beverage station
- Operate cash register / Point-of-Sale system
- Monitor and restock office supplies
- Greet visitors and direct them to the correct staff member
Work Hours:
- Hours may vary before, during, or after winter weather events
- Typical work hours are Monday – Friday from 7:45AM – 5:00PM
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of college studies, related work experience, or equivalent combination
- Must be detail oriented with time management and organizational skills
- Point-of-sale system and/or accounting system experience is preferred
- Preference to experience within the snow & ice management or commercial trucking industries
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
