If so, Trane Technologies is seeking to hire a Quality Lab Engineer at our Tyler, TX facility. Our Tyler location is a part of our Residential HVAC business.

As the Quality Lab Engineer, you will be help improve product and process quality on Outdoor and Indoor products.

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Source components in support of testing processes
• Facilitate and maintain a safe clean working environment in the quality assurance lab, work station and shop
• Collaborate with design functions and advocate for a product designed for testing
• Support key programs individually, as part of and in the support of teams
• Resolution of manufacturing quality issues by utilization of structured problem solving methodologies to establish capable measurement systems, collect and analyze data, identify root cause and implement effective corrective action
• Calibration of test equipment
• Develop and support of operators of testing equipment
• Develop, fabricate, support and maintain manufacturing testing processes, methods and equipment
• Comply with and support safety requirements and initiatives
• Troubleshooting and repair of electromechanical equipment
• Test criteria (limits and rules) management

Qualifications/Key Competencies:

• Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office Suite, and LabVIEW
• Excellent understanding of statistics and Six Sigma/Lean tools
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience/degree
• Experience with HVAC (preferred), electrical systems, electronics and microprocessors and serial data analyzers
• Knowledge of leak detection technologies, and programmable automation controllers and programmable logic controllers
• Demonstrated competency with bench top test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair electromechanical systems in a production environment

Base Pay Range: $70,000 - $144,000 / year
