Responsible for the quality of processes and product (e.g. laboratories studies, testing, production, etc.); facilitates audits and regulatory inspections.
The world’s largest beverage company, The Coca-Cola Company, is currently seeking Technicians to join our manufacturing team in a Quality Assurance role. We’re seeking team-oriented individuals who have a keen eye for the details and who would like to support the organization as we expand upward in new and exciting ways.
What You’ll Do for Us
- Inspect incoming ingredients and perform all required testing as needed.
- Accountable for efficient and accurate quality testing of ingredients and finished products to ensure product and package integrity in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Operate and perform quality tests on the treated water system.
- Set-up and calibrate test equipment and prepare testing reagents.
- Perform the quality inspection functions for finished products to assure product quality and package integrity is within specifications.
- Monitor inventory of supplies and order materials/supplies as required.
- Perform all required microbiological testing and testing on: Brix, pH, Acid, Assay and Vitamin C when used in the products.
- Complies with all Food Safety/Security policies and procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Ensure that all tasks are performed toward achieving the safety, quality, service and cost initiatives.
- Performs mixing operations and of cleaning equipment via computer entries.
- Performs ingredient weight and set-up for mixing batches, concentrate cycle counts and mixes syrup batches in accordance with mixing instructions and procedures.
- Place product and raw materials on hold and complete hold notifications as required.
- Perform all documentation associated with quality checks and data entry.
Qualification & Requirements
- Must successfully pass Aon (behavioral/personality test) assessment test
- Must possess a High school diploma or GED equivalent, Associate degree in Science or related field is preferred.
- Must be able to safely operate a forklift
- Basic knowledge of the lab’s equipment such as: Refractometer, pH meter, Auto titrator, Density Meter, Turbidity Meter are required
- Ability to move at least 65 lbs. a distance of 5 feet and stand and perform repetitive motions for extended periods (2 hours) are required
- Must possess knowledge of sanitation and food handling standards or GMP preferred
- Must be able to maintain a strong level of confidentiality – all formulas are confidential
- Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under stressful situations
- Knowledge of OSHA Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and an understanding of the control of Hazardous Energy are needed
- Solid math skills are required along with basic reading and writing skills
- 1- 2 years’ experience in quality testing / manufacturing are preferred
