Job Description
What to Expect

The Role

Tesla is looking to hire a Quality Control technician with experience in lab. This candidate will be a core member of Cathode Quality team that is focused on the testing and evaluation of Cathode materials to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy.


What You’ll Do
  • Autonomous, self-starter/initiative driven.
  • Ensure high accuracy and precision on the reported data.
  • Conduct chemical, Physical, and Electrochemical Characterization of the materials using different. analytical techniques such as SEM, ICP-OES, Tap Density, PSA, XRD, coin cell etc.
  • Document data in the quality database with the use of test procedures and process documents.
  • Maintain clean lab space via 5S principles.
  • Mainly focused on Cathode active materials and its raw materials inspection, testing and release from the QC lab.
  • Comply with Safety Regulations and Policies.
  • Plan, procure, organize, and run test equipment.
  • Bring new ideas to increase productivity, reduce cost and minimize waste
What You’ll Bring

  • At least 2 years of hands-on and analytical (university or commercial) experience related to: metallurgy, inorganic chemistry, organometallic chemistry, or materials science.
  • Experience of using advanced analytical techniques common to materials characterization
  • Competency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • B.S. in engineering or science or equivalent.
  • Must be able to demonstrate meticulous organizational, data management and communication skills.
  • Must have a strong sense of safety and be able to work independently or with others.
