Overview: Quality Specialist, Night Shift, Temple, TX
Pay: $20.33 per hour
Available Shift: 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am with Every other Fri, Sat, and Sun off!!!

Responsibilities:
  • Complete hold tickets to identify non-conforming product, traces issues to beginning of source, and communicates results to supervision.
  • Lead rework finished good projects.
  • Develop and maintains quality reports in Microsoft PowerPoint for communication boards
  • Support with basic repairs of measuring equipment to verify that equipment is being operated and maintained according to quality assurance standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret quality specifications and CAD drawings
  • Evaluates products at changeovers to verify compliance to requirements of product and packaging and conformance of product to documented specifications.
  • Evaluates product condition such as product attributes and product variables
  • Performs follow-up on corrective actions as requested.
  • Intermediate troubleshooting of Quality Data Software and Testing Equipment when malfunctioning.
  • Reads Production Order information and verifies compliance of the product, packaging and Quality specifications.
  • Completes quality checks including weights, dimensions, counts, and attribute data.
  • Observes workers using equipment to verify that equipment is being operated and maintained according to quality assurance standards.
  • Communicate effectively to shift supervisor and lead of quality issues found and contain non-compliant product.
  • Perform basic statistical analysis using Minitab and/or Excel.
  • Aid in preparation and completion of 3rd party audits.
  • Utilizes problem solving tools to identify root causes such as fish bone diagrams, pareto charts, 5 whys, etc.
  • Ability to train others on Quality Data Software and measuring devices.
  • Completes Audits of Thermoforming documents– Inclusive of date traceability, product defects and communication to shift supervision.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to follow standard work instructions is required.
  • Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly preferred
