The Senior Quality Control Technician for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for is responsible performing quality testing and data analysis in support of a biochemical manufacturing facility.

This position is part of the Quality Control Department located onsite in Carlsbad, CA. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role you will be a part of the Quality Control Testing Team and report to the Quality Control Supervisor-Reagents/Other Consumables responsible for investigating and troubleshooting functionality and performance problems. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Identify Lean manufacturing opportunities for continuous process improvement and suggest alternatives and solutions to problems.

  • Ability to help train other QC technicians or temporary technicians.
  • Perform calibration and routine daily/weekly instrument maintenance to ensure accuracy of results.
  • Perform assessment testing as scheduled on in-process and/or finished device products according to all quality documentation.
  • Initiate changes to current SOPs.
  • Recognize problems that might affect the quality of integrity of the product and communicate problems.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • High School Diploma with 5+ years of experience in medical technology

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Associate degree with 3 years’ experience, preferred.
  • Experience working in a diagnostic medical lab and understanding of statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge and application of Lean Manufacturing or DBS tools
