• Assisting in the preparation and testing of laboratory concrete trial batches
• Performing routine testing of aggregate samples (quartering samples, running gradations, washes, moistures and picking deleterious
• Entering data into the aggregate and concrete quality reporting system
• Testing concrete strength specimens
• Other duties as assigned
• Performs all responsibilities safely
• Collects and test concrete and aggregate samples using routine methods and basic arithmetic computations
• Calibrating lab equipment
• Must adhere to all local, state, MSHA and environmental regulations as outlined in the Employee Safe Work Guidelines booklet, and any/all rules or information provided by the Company or customer sites
• Performing all other projects and duties as assigned by the supervisor
• Performing routine housekeeping of laboratory
• Performing basic concrete QC tests slump, air, temperature, sampling, cylinders and unit weight

• Basic computer skills including basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Basic knowledge of statistics
• Ability to obtain ACI concrete and aggregate certifications as required
• Basic math skills
• Two year technical degree preferred or three years in QC testing of construction materials in lieu of education
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent driving record
