The Opportunity & How You’ll Help Us Achieve Our Mission

The College Access Program Manager is an integral part of the 10,000 Degrees mission to support college graduates who change the world. This position will serve as a point person for all communication & relationship maintenance for partnerships in Northern Sonoma County, specifically school and district personnel, local CBOs, donors, and the 10,000 Degrees executive team. This position is responsible for maintaining quality service delivery of all programming to students and taking the lead on establishing measures for assessing program effectiveness. Additionally, the College Access Program Manager directly supervises between 3-5 full-time 10,000 Degrees Access Fellows who conduct the direct student-facing work. This is a full-time, exempt position.

This position will support our work in Sonoma County.

Responsibilities

  • Other duties as assigned
  • Cross-collaborate with the College Success Managers, Fellows & school staff at local 4-year and community colleges for high school-focused workshops for community college matriculation & financial aid.
  • Regular travel within assigned regions to school campuses, 10,000 Degrees offices, and special event locations.
  • Participate in regular professional development activities, teamwork meetings, supervisorial weekly supervision meetings with staff, and special events and trainings (some of which are held in the evening.)
  • Lead initial planning, calendaring, and execution of in-school-focused workshops & initiatives in collaboration with Fellows.
  • Participate in ongoing and focused partnership meetings.
  • Onboard, lead, train, and support Fellows in reaching their student-focused college matriculation goals throughout the year.
  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate files and data; generate program reports for analysis via Salesforce & other 10,000 Degrees-related data tracking systems.
  • Supervise timesheets and expense reports for your Fellows.
  • Support fellows in delivering curriculum and training to students participating in 10,000 Degrees programs and their families.
  • Manage Canva, Google, & Zoom accounts for your program.
  • Support the Development Team and represent 10,000 Degrees at fundraising events.
  • Attend monthly advisory board meetings, corporate engagement meetings, school and district-related events, and other fundraising events, including foundation-focused functions.
  • Collaborate with all Program Directors to create program content for your program & streamline program offerings.
  • Build & maintain & supervise relationships and collaboration with school & district personnel, community partners, program participants, and families at each 10,000 Degrees partner high school site in Northern Sonoma County.

Professional Experience

  • Experience in financial aid and college access/success matriculation steps
  • Bachelor’s degree

Skills & Characteristics

  • Alumni of 10,000 Degrees scholarships preferred
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
  • High level of professionalism: promptness, preparedness, professional appearance
  • Willing to learn and be self-reflective
  • Geographic proximity to the region being served
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, Google applications, Instagram, and SalesForce
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • History of working effectively as part of a team
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and initiative and the ability to work independently
  • First-generation college graduates from low-income backgrounds preferred

Location

This position is expected to have a significant in-person presence at Northern Sonoma school locations and regularly attend events throughout Sonoma County and the Bay Area.
