If you are a SUPPLY CHAIN professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Climate Technologies has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our SIDNEY, OH location, you will help develop and lead the sourcing strategic team for New Product Development in a global environment for HVACR Technologies. Strategies developed will support supply chain initiatives, which include cost containment, regionalization, trade working capital improvement, timely delivery, and quality. Strategies will need to be communicated clearly to large groups.
AS A PROCUREMENT MANAGER - NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, YOU WILL:
- Effectively communicate, lead meetings, make presentations, and always use tact and professionalism by using core competencies.
- Recruit/train/develop a team of supply chain/procurement professionals to leverage within the supply chain organization.
- Collaborate with the supplier quality group to improve supplier performance (PPM).
- Establish goals to improve trade working capital with increased payment terms, lower inventory, and shorter lead times, and develop a capacity and regionalization plan for each part of the commodity, with establishing agreements with suppliers.
- Develop and implement a direct material sourcing strategy via the NPD Gated Process to improve flexibility and supply assurance.
- Prepare and present at demand management meetings, supplier monthly updates, and support supply assurance activities.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- Good communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, and charts
- Exposure to and knowledge of Engineering, Quality, or Perfect Execution practices
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field plus seven (7) years of experience in a Procurement or NPD/Project Management
- Ability to travel up to 20% at a time
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in commodity management, developing and sourcing suppliers in mechanical/electronic components
- Technically proficient to read blueprints; knowledge of Lean principles
- Strong project management skills, leading to successful results
- Prior experience managing a program management team, or large-scope project
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field plus twelve (12) years of experience in a Procurement function or related experience
- Five (5) years of supervisory experience
Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option and Core Hours
This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm.
