Product Development Manager Jobs

Summary of Position:

• Plan, manage and coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for the development of food spices and extracts.
• Manage all Product Development policies, procedures, and objectives.
• Develop and execute the product development strategy based on market research, customer insights, and business objectives.

Job Duties:

• Monitor product performance post-launch, gather feedback, and make necessary improvements or modifications.
• Collaborate with sourcing teams to identify and evaluate suppliers for ingredients, ensuring consistency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and optimize spice blend recipes, extract formulas, and other product formulations. Conduct rigorous testing and sensory evaluations to ensure quality, consistency, and flavor profiles meet the company’s standards and customer expectations.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, operations, and quality teams to align product development initiatives with overall business strategies.
• Coordinate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure seamless production and timely product launches.
• Conduct research on emerging ingredients, flavor profiles, and culinary trends to identify new product opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards throughout the product development process.
• Develop go-to-market strategies and promotional plans in collaboration with the marketing and sales team.
• Conduct product trials, analyze results, and refine formulations to achieve desired quality, flavor profiles, and cost targets
• Lead the ideation, conceptualization, and formulation of new spice blends and extracts in line with the company’s strategic objectives and market trends.
• Create and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Identify new product opportunities and translate them into actionable plans.
• Conduct feasibility studies and assess the viability of new product concepts based on technical, commercial, and financial factors.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of spice blending techniques, extract formulation, and flavor chemistry.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Deep knowledge of commercialization.
• Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Proven experience in product development within the food industry, preferably with a focus on spices, extracts, or related products.
• Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field.
• Ability to manage tasks with a sense of urgency and deadline oriented.
• Knowledge of market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape in the spice and extract industry.
