Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

We are looking for a New Product Introduction (NPI) Material Program Manager to join our team. This position will be responsible for managing long lead materials, such as Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBAs) and Semi-conductors. Microsoft Material Program Managers work across our Engineering, Sourcing and Operations teams to assure new products are released on time and that Manufacturing partners can meet schedules for pilot and that elements are in place to ensure a successful transition to full production. Key activities include capturing pilot requirements and working directly with our Manufacturing partners to assure materials, tooling and test fixtures are in place to meet schedule. This is a great opportunity to work on cutting edge technology in the Cloud industry and play a key role in product development.

Responsibilities

As a NPI Material Program Manager you will be responsible for the following:
  • Manage metrics including days of supply, E&O, shortages within lead time and inventory exposure at each supplier to improve performance.
  • Coordinate internally with Engineering, Sourcing and Capacity Planning to assure new products are properly forecasted.
  • Support the transition from pilot to growth to assure elements like Bill Of Materials (BOMs), and forecast are in place to drive long lead materials.
  • Meet regularly with assigned suppliers to review forecast, capture supply commitments and publish internally.
  • Perform scenario analysis to understand impact of component shortages and demand changes to our overall supply plan.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and work with cross functional teams to improve tools and process to better meet our global demands.
  • Develop risk analysis to compare pre-positioning of inventory against design change possibilities to reduce liability and assure supply.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of PCBA/NPI manufacturing experience
  • Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field AND 2+ years experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, program management, hardware development or NPI

These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with BOMs and engineering elements needed for production.
  • Direct experience in electronics assembly and new product introductions.
