Responsibilities
Patient Registration and Prescription Processing: Utilize our state-of-the-art prescription data entry procedures and guidelines to register new patients by entering their information into our system. Handle patient prescription requests with the utmost care, adhering to HIPAA guidelines, and enter refill orders for seamless processing. Troubleshoot to obtain any missing prescription information and proficiently interpret medical abbreviations (SIG codes). Resolve any data entry-related exceptions that may arise.
Patient and Prescriber Support: Provide excellent support to patients through various communication channels such as inbound calls, chats, and emails. Engage in outbound calls to prescribers and patients when necessary, ensuring a seamless flow of information and addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly.
Third Party Reject Resolution: Review, gather information, and correct any third party rejects to ensure smooth processing according to individual plan requirements. Proactively communicate with insurers and other parties to obtain vital information, gain override approvals, or effectively resolve any third party rejects.
Collaboration and Issue Identification: Assist Pharmacists both within our facility and across different locations. Identify and communicate any potential issues to senior-level staff, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining efficient operations.
License and Certification Maintenance: Obtain an active technician license or certification within the first 90 days of employment and ensure its active status throughout your tenure.
Compensation And Benefits

As a Pharmacy Technician, you can expect a competitive hourly rate of $16.50, accompanied by bonuses as per the terms of our bonus plan (if applicable). The exact compensation will depend on factors such as experience, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law.
Basic Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Age: 18 years or older
Residency: Must reside in Texas
Valid Pharmacy Technician License: Possess a valid Pharmacy Technician license issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Computer Skills: Proficient in basic PC skills, including operating a computer, using a mouse, navigating between programs, saving files, and accessing information online
Internet Skills: Basic proficiency in using search engines, bookmarking websites, and filling out online forms
Typing Skills: Intermediate level keyboarding skills, with a minimum typing speed of 25 WPM and the ability to format documents
Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
Pharmacy Technician Experience: At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or call center environment
Certification: 18 months of experience as a pharmacy technician with a certificate/registration granted by the state Board of Pharmacy or a nationally recognized certification agency
Customer Service: Experience providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, meeting quality standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction
Advanced Typing Skills: Intermediate to advanced keyboarding skills, with a minimum typing speed of 35 WPM and proficiency in formatting documents
Bilingual Fluency: Fluency in both Spanish and English
