Job Description

Lead a cross-functional group across Legal, Compliance, Risk, and HR with the possibility of becoming a permanent employee for our Fortune 500 Financial Services client!!


We are actively seeking HR/Employment Law Leaders with direct experience providing counsel and leadership on Fair Employment Regulatory and Compliance activities. This is an active, long-term full-time hybrid opportunity!

We are actively seeking HR/Employee Relations Leaders located in New York, NY, Dallas, TX, and Tampa, FL area with the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience overseeing legal professionals or Human Resources/Compliance teams.
  • Substantive experience and exposure to Human Resources, including developing risk control strategies to maintain compliance with laws and regulations related to affirmative action requirements, non-discrimination, and equal employment opportunity in various jurisdictions.
  • Willingness to support a hybrid role requiring three days onsite.
  • Direct experience in workforce diversity – operating in a leadership capacity supporting the development and oversight of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • A minimum of 15 years’ post-qualified employment law experience.
  • Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active bar license in good standing in New York, Florida, or Texas (attorney only).
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Program or Project Management capacity.
  • Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs Regulatory Compliance, preferred.
  • Epiq Counsel partners with industry-leading clients in support of their sophisticated interim talent needs. Must be interested in practicing in an alternative, fixed-term legal services model.



The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in the financial services industry is a major plus.
  • Strong knowledge of the financial services industry and norms.



Lead on the following responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic thought-leadership regarding the interpretation, adoption, governance, management, and adherence to Fair Employment Practices programs.
  • Uses excellent communication, leadership, and strong management skills to influence a wide range of internal audiences including respective product, function or regional executive management partners and external audiences including regulators and external auditors. Frequently engage in both internal and external negotiations, which will have a major impact on the function, and possibly on the organization.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the Global HR Risk and Control Function, which may include reporting methodologies organizational design and effective positioning.
  • Establish and sustain strong project management disciplines and routines with clear.
  • Develop approaches to promote knowledge sharing and promulgate management best practices across HR Risk and Control and the Global HR Function.
  • Drive the development of simplifying and automating solutions related to process re-engineering and metrics creation for the Fair Employment Practices Team, including forward looking projections.
