JOB SUMMARY
The HR Jr. Generalist is responsible for various HR functions within SVCMC/USFHP and will perform routine tasks to administer and execute human resource programs as directed including but not limited to recruitment/prescreening; compensation reviews; HR computer system data entry and updates; maintenance of employee files.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Assists in creating job postings, prescreens resumes based on job descriptions/qualifications, sets up interviews and forwards appropriate paperwork to candidates.
-Assists in onboarding of candidates selected, which includes professional reference checks, tax forms, I-9 and verification documents, benefits orientation and processing and other required documentation.
-Responsible for data entry – new hires, terminations, address changes, salary adjustment, etc. Prepares ad-hoc reports via ADP HR/Payroll system or using excel.
-Maintains physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and other related records.
-Handles employment related internal/external inquiries from applicants, employees, supervisors within scope of responsibility and refers complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Manager or HR Director.
-Generates internal documents and provides support as directed by the HR Manager or HR Director as requested.
-Other duties as may be assigned based on the need of the department.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
-Experience of at least three years in Human Resources as a generalist or specialized area of Human Resources, preferably in the healthcare or health care insurance industry.
-Bachelor’s degree required. Significant industry experience of at least 5 or more years may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor degree.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
-High level of interpersonal skills – must be flexible, patient and understanding to the need of employees, former employees and the organization.
-Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and work effectively under pressure.
-High level of organizational and planning skills in order to meet deadlines on all time sensitive activities.
-Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, Sharepoint
-Ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve in a busy, fast paced environment.
-Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, reports

SALARY: $30.00-$35.00/HOUR
