Assistant Counsel Jobs

Overview /Objective
Seeking a commercial transactional attorney to provide legal and business affairs support for the NFL’s Consumer Products Licensing, Sponsorship, Marketing and Football Operations departments. Must have a collaborative mindset, strong teamwork skills and a goal-oriented approach. Must be able to work both independently and as part of the broader NFL legal team, adapt to a rapidly changing business landscape and manage multiple simultaneous projects under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities

• Advise NFL business units on legal considerations and risk mitigation strategies in connection with all activities.
• Structure, draft and negotiate contracts to support the achievement of business and operational goals and initiatives of the NFL’s Consumer Products Licensing, Sponsorship, Marketing and Football Operations business units, and potentially other business units as needed.

Required Qualifications

• J.D. is required
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
• 3+ years of commercial transactional experience at a law firm

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the sports or entertainment industries preferred

• Must be collaborative and able to adapt to rapidly expanding business initiatives and multiple competing priorities.
• Must have strong communication skills.
