Job Description

About Us

LTSE supports companies in all stages of growth committed to long-term value creation, and the investors who share their values. We offer software and services for company-building and pursuing a path to the public markets, a U.S. national securities exchange for new and existing public companies, and a coalition for the exchange of ideas between companies and like-minded investors.

We believe in the power of a public market that supports continuous success for all stakeholders, including employees, investors, and their communities. We’re helping innovation and value creation flourish for now and far into the future through long-term investment, experimentation, and sustainable scaling.

Lead LTSE investors include The Space Between, Founders Fund, Collaborative Fund, Andreessen Horowitz, Obvious Ventures, Uprising, and Initialized. LTSE was founded by Eric Ries, an entrepreneur, New York Times-bestselling author, and the creator of the Lean Startup methodology.

The Role

Are you looking for a role that offers an opportunity to manage people-first programs, develop and own comprehensive systems and processes, and deliver on a game-changing people strategy? If so, read more..

We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems and embraces challenges from every angle. Ideally, you are comfortable with ambiguity, and can also thrive in an environment that requires a high-level of attention to detail and a fast pace for task execution. The perfect candidate has the ability to make improvements on what exists today, taking care of the tactical and also building for the future.

As a People Partner at LTSE, you will report directly to our Head of People. As part of the People team, you will continue to help build the foundation of growth for our most important asset - our people. You’ll serve as a trusted partner to our core business functions while building meaningful and effective relationships across the organization. You’ll support our leaders and managers at all levels by providing coaching and guidance in relation to every aspect of the employee lifecycle. Additionally, you will manage our people programs including but not limited to payroll, benefits, performance management, training, development, employee relations, and employee engagement. If this sounds exciting (and maybe even a tad intimidating), we want to hear from you!

We're looking for someone who has:

  • 5 years of experience in the human resources (HR) business function
  • Experience partnering with external vendors to ensure payroll, benefits, and leave of absences are executed accurately and within a timely manner
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience developing, implementing, and supporting a variety of people programs and initiatives including performance management, feedback programs, promotions, career development, and training programs
  • Experience maintaining internal people resources systems and tools (HRIS, people portals, etc)
  • Experience executing an employee engagement strategy through organizational health surveys, employee events, recognition, employee resource groups, etc.
  • Experience supporting employees and leaders through employee relations escalations and concerns
  • A passion for influencing and executing a diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy
  • Experience working in a fast-paced (start-up) operations environment
  • Ability to execute tactically while also thinking ahead and bringing new perspectives to the table

You are:

  • An excellent communicator, with the ability to communicate in a professional and friendly manner to current and potential LTSE employees
  • A champion of our company values, highlighting how LTSE operates both with our customers and our internal employees
  • Proactive, willing to take on new challenges and responsibilities in order to improve the employee experience
  • An advocate for the meaningful impact of a great People function on a company's ability to succeed
  • Operationally disciplined in start-up environments - you thrive with task lists, project management, getting things done, and don’t mind the administration of the job
  • Passionate about building a People playbook, establishing new best practices, and influencing the industry
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to proactively problem solve, identify areas of improvement or automation, and ensure all information is captured
  • An experienced, hands-on doer with a people-first approach

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with financial services, tech, or saas companies
  • Experience with Gusto, Lattice, Human Interest, Asana and Google Suite

Benefits Include:

  • Invest in Savings. Enroll in our 401k program offered through Human Interest, and other benefit programs offered through Gusto.
  • Focus on Family: All new parents receive up to 4 months of caregiver leave including 8 weeks of full salary continuation, all while keeping your full company-sponsored benefits for up to the full 4 months.
  • Get Started. Launch quickly with your company provided laptop, cellphone reimbursement, and $500 home-office stipend.
  • Foster Growth. Receive up to $1500 annually towards continuing education and development.
  • Meet Great People. Work with skilled, committed, and supportive teammates that have a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Give Back Donate to organizations of your choice and LTSE will match up to $600 per year.
  • Prioritize Health. Take charge of your health with rich medical, dental, vision, and EAP benefits. 100% of employee costs are sponsored by LTSE and there is a small, fixed employee contributions for dependent costs.
  • Achieve Balance. Enjoy the LTSE commitment to a sustainable remote-first work environment, including an unlimited vacation policy that requires team members to take a minimum of three weeks vacation per year.
  • Drive Innovation. Make an impact working with a mission-driven company that shares your desire to create a new kind of public market.
  • Earn Equitably. Be part of a company that believes in pay equity and transparency. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a base annual salary between $95,000-$125,000 (commensurate with leveling and job benchmarking), as well as competitive start-up company stock options.
