Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Part-time Faculty and Tutors. You will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality instruction and contributing to the growth and success of our students in their educational and career development journeys.
Responsibilities/Duties
Instruction: Instruct students in various settings, including classrooms, labs, learning centers, or other suitable environments. Foster student engagement through pre- and post-class interactions, telephone or email exchanges, and office hours where possible.
Instructional Materials: Prepare, distribute, and utilize instructional materials such as course syllabi, supplementary resources, and instructional technology to enhance learning experiences. Incorporate the latest classroom technologies when available.
Curriculum Development: Structure classes and curricula in alignment with program objectives, ensuring clear course objectives for students. Maintain and update curriculum to keep it current and relevant.
Diversity and Inclusion: Create an inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and respects the varied backgrounds and experiences of our college community.
Facility and Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the upkeep and security of classroom, laboratory, and departmental equipment, as well as instructional materials.
Compliance: Adhere to College policies, regulations, and other relevant procedures. Punctuality and adherence to schedules are paramount.
Grading and Evaluation: Maintain accurate records of student evaluations and grades. Submit grades and required documentation within established timelines.
Safety: Prioritize safety in the classroom and workplace, emphasizing best practices.
Professional Development: May participate in professional development activities and attend in-service sessions and division meetings.
Supervision: May supervise aides and work-study students as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associate's degree or equivalent.
Experience: Five (5) years of industry work experience in industrial maintenance, automation, machine design, manufacturing engineering, or related field. Additional experience may substitute for educational requirements.
Desired Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
Teaching Experience: Prior teaching experience, preferably at the community college level.
Certifications: FANUC handling tool and 2D iRvision certification, Journeyman electrician's license.
Skills: Rockwell Automation PLC programming experience, experience teaching hybrid or online courses, experience in building and maintaining manufacturing industry equipment.
Additional Qualifications And/or Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Ability to adapt teaching materials for diverse student needs.
Commitment to the mission of community colleges.
Comfort with remote learning technologies such as Zoom, LMS, Teams, etc.
Working Conditions And Important Information
Work primarily in an office and classroom setting.
Salary placement based on education and relevant experience, per College guidelines.

Benefits
Sick Leave: Eight (8) hours of sick leave upon hire.
Tuition Waiver Plan: Eligible for a full tuition waiver equivalent to 24 credits for each term employed.
